About your Username and Password

Your username and password are your Babson username and password.

Initial Registration

To request an item through Interlibrary Loan, you must first identify yourself to the library's ILL system. The first time you log into the system, you'll be asked to fill out a registration form. This is the only time it will appear. If you need to make changes to your information in the future, just click on "Change User Information" in the left hand menu.

Registration has three purposes:

  • Entering your personal information into the system means you will not have to supply the information again when making future requests.
  • Having your e-mail and regular mail addresses on file with Interlibrary Loan enables us to notify you promptly and deliver materials accurately when they arrive in the library.
  • You will be able to track your requests, renew items, and retrieve articles online.

Important Copyright Information

WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
